INITIAL STORY EVENT
The first story event you will encounter will give you more background information about the outbreak but it could cost you a scientist.
Part 1: Show
You need to have researched ENHANCED LIMBS and NEUTRALISER. You'll also need at least 1 crew member in the scientist profession. A scientist will pop up telling you of his/her incomplete report.
Part 2: Show
On the following day after you receive the first report popup you will receive another report (if you have at least 1 more scientist) mentioning your other scientist is missing as well as coordinates to a country you should conciliate for more info.
Part 3: Show
Use the coordinates from the missing scientist popup either by checking google maps (key it in this way 29.31S 27.48E) OR we can show you the country right away:

CONCILIATE this country and you will receive a diplomat popup telling you about an underground lab location where your missing scientist might be. If the country location is not yet infected, it will become infected the next time you enter the tactical map view.
Part 4: Show
You should deploy a safeteam into that country mission zone and seek out a lift platform located in a random building. Once your whole safeteam is on the lift, it will bring you down to an underground base (your current above-ground mission progress will be automatically saved).
Part 5: Show
Underground bases are extremely dangerous, even for 4 heavily armed Elites, so enter new rooms/corridors with caution. Once you find your missing scientist, he/she will give you some further outbreak information and he/she will follow you from now on. Your scientist will already be infected, so either let them 'turn' and kill them or race to the base entrance and get above ground to an e-vac a.s.a.p. in order to save your scientist.
The initial story event is now complete and any CLEAR OUTBREAK missions you come across will always have a lift platform you can enter to discover other riches down below.
